Subject of Data Protection

The subject of data protection is personal data. According to Art. 4 (I) of the EU General Data Protection Regulations (DS-GVO), these are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable person. Depending on the type of contract, this may include name, address and other sensitive data, such as bank details.

Visiting the Website

In the case of merely informative use of the website, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security. This anonymous data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individuals:

Using our Webshop

If you would like to order via our webshop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we require for the processing of your order. Mandatory information required for the processing of contracts is marked separately, other information is voluntary. We process the data you provide to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our bank or our payment service providers. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (I) p. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

You can voluntarily create a customer account, which allows us to save your data for future purchases. When you create an account under “My account”, the data you provide will be stored revocably.

We are obliged by commercial and tax law to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years.

To prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, in particular financial data, the ordering process is encrypted using TLS technology.

Newsletter

With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The advertised goods and services are named in the declaration of consent.

We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure to register for our newsletter. This means that after your registration, we will send you an email to the email address you provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store your IP addresses used and the times of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.

Only your email address is required for sending the newsletter. The provision of further, separately marked data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 (I) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare the revocation by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details provided in the imprint.

Marketing emails are sent using the professional mailing software Mailchimp, server location are the United States. By means of link tracking – technically solved as forwarding via the email dispatch server – it is evaluated which links were called up and when. The data is collected exclusively pseudonymously, i.e. the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, and direct personal reference is excluded.

Google Web Fonts

Our website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (I) lit. f DSGVO.

Collection and Processing of Data

We collect personal data to fulfil our contractual obligations and to maintain our business relationships. We try to offer our customers the best possible service. Therefore, we offer the possibility to inform our customers about our latest offers via email (e.g. newsletter) or telephone. This only happens with explicit consent, which can be revoked at any time.

Usage and Disclosure of Personal Data

If personal data has been made available to us, we only use it to answer enquiries and to process contracts concluded with our customers. Personal data is only forwarded to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract  in particular forwarding order data to suppliers – for for invoicing purposes.
